Fact-Checking Policy
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every article published in The Wellness Journal is checked for factual accuracy before publication. Our goal is that claims about massage, the body, recovery and wellness are correct, current and stated in a way a knowledgeable practitioner would stand behind.
Sourcing Standards
We rely on recognised clinical and professional sources, established practice within the massage and spa professions, and the direct experience of qualified reviewers. We prefer peer-reviewed and professional-body sources over marketing material, and we do not present a supplier's claims as fact.
Review Before Publication
Each article is reviewed by a named expert whose credentials appear on the page. The reviewer checks technical accuracy, the appropriateness of any health-related claims, and the clarity of the guidance. Articles are not published until review is complete.
Handling Disputed or Limited Evidence
Where the evidence behind a wellness claim is limited, mixed or emerging, we say so rather than presenting it as settled. We avoid overstating benefits and include appropriate caveats where a treatment may not suit everyone.
Corrections and Updates
Published articles are reviewed periodically and updated when practice or understanding changes. If a reader reports an error, we investigate and, where needed, correct the article and update its 'Updated' date. Significant corrections are made transparently within the article.
Reporting an Error
If you believe something we have published is incorrect, please contact us through the Sensual Sanctuary Spa website. We take correction reports seriously and aim to respond and act promptly.
